Program goals
Loyalty marks should unlock content, community roles, or learning paths — not cash-like value. Define the behavior you reward (weekly lesson, forum help, workshop RSVP).
Badge tiers
Keep tiers simple (Explorer → Builder → Guide). Each tier maps to verifiable actions. Avoid paid tiers that look like investment clubs.
Measurement plan
Track completion rates and return visits, not secondary market prices. Publish transparent rules so badges never feel like a casino.
